my friends reluctantly dragged me to a nfg concert. i couldnt see anybody from the crowd except stacy and i thought she looked like the girl from mum. i thought the band was icelandic, and that it was a joke when they said they were from texas...as far as songs, mr. pine was the song they played where my jaw literally dropped and i went oh my god out loud. _________________ 7\ |

Lying in the sun in a field in staffordshire at v2003 and hearing them play (I think) 'over the mountains' as the first band of the day. I'm not sure if it was stacy, sherri or chauntelle, but after every song she thanked the crowd and at the end spelt out their name "eisley.com - that's e, i, s, l, e, y .com" ![]() I didn't register on here for a while but spent ages catching up on all boyd's journals... _________________ I don't know why she swallowed the fly. The Marvelous Things video. I watched it like 10 times in a row then got tickets to see them with Snow Patrol like a week before the show. ![]() _________________ http://www.compassion.com/Default |

I dunno, one day I downloaded some songs... I thought they were crappy at first (Blackend Crown, Head Against The Sky) And then I heard Tree Tops and I dug it. _________________ my name's carrie and i love a good sandwich so if you have a sandwich, come roll with me! ![]() i'm gonna marry the mars volta. |

the first song i heard was 'over the mountains'. i thought it was sort of strange, but it got stuck in my mind... i did a little more research and i was impressed and pleased to find out they are also really cool people. the first thing i really loved about them was their voices, though. that will probably always be my favorite thing about Eisley. _________________ Saellys wrote: Thank God for Arielle ![]() all your kind, they're coming clean they shut their eyes their mess, their scene |

Okay, a few people are taking my joke a little too seriously, so I thought I'd be straight up with you guys. I was really impressed with the original "Over the Mountains," and I checked the forums for some gall-forsaken reason, and saw behind the scenes pictures from the "Marvelous Things" video, and figured I'd stay and wait for that. And nobody would let me leave... _________________ Scriptozoology, a screenwriting blog .. Facebook |

I remember seeing the MTV "Next Big Thing" news piece and the comparisons to Radohead (my favorite band) and I knew I would have to check them out. But, as always happens, I totally forgot the name of the band (I am old... it happens). Fast forward a year or two, I hear Marvelous Things somewhere and had to find out who sang it.... find Eisley...realize it was the band from the MTV and all the pieces of the puzzle had come together. Now my brain can focus on more important things... like where I put my Dexy's Midnight Runners CD that I lost in 1997!! _________________ I am an extra in your movie |

It was sometime last summer when my friend let me borrow Room Noises. After hearing the first song I was like... wow, and then proceeded to listen to the rest of the album in one sitting. The vocals, the melodies, the harmonies, and the lyrics are what first got me hooked. Then I listened to some of their earlier things. They sounded more "unpolished" and it was more amazing and the music was very great. And then I liked them even more. And now I still like them more than ever. _________________ don't ask me ask the ministry |
