3) Eisley, Room Noises (Warner Brothers): Straight outta small-town Texas — but sounding more like the house band of a verdant magical forest, or Rilo Kiley's ambitious babysitting charge — Eisley fulfills the whimsical indie-rock promise of its first few EPs with Room Noises. Swooping choruses and twinkling-stardust harmonies unfold from the drawling vocal sister act of Sherri and Stacy DuPree, sirens with just a whisper of twang in their voices, while Eisley's music incorporates bits of genial Coldplay-esque Britpop, coffeehouse jam sessions and glimmering, crushed-velvet rock. This was also printed in the Dallas Observer that came out Dec. 21st...fyi P. _________________ "Enjoy Every Sandwich" - Warren Zevon "What's Life Without Music?" - The Mermaid Purse www.myspace.com/ptah |

Not sure who wrote this but it was in a best of 2005 blog room noises - eisley i didn't know they still made bands like this. the music that comes out of this group is so pure and lovely, that it seems like a dream, a dream that this could happen still in the state the industry is running nowadays and a dream in the sense that their music is good old dream pop. taking the galloping guitars of belly, the harmonies of sixpence none the richer and the angelic touch of the sundays, room noises is inside and out a joyful, sorrowful, lush experience. the songs are so dreamy, so celestial that you just find yourself drifting to air. beautiful! _________________ Don't you let them tell you you're an ugly child.
