I love the Cole Studios video of Lost at Sea up on OGG. I think they could have done something more along those lines for that song. Telescope Eyes old version is way better. But overall, I have enjoyed Room Noises over and over. Trolleywood always puts me in a good mood as does My Lovely.

i had no idea so many people also disliked lost at sea. i don't know why, but i just never took to it. i don't mind listening to the whole album all the way through, but that song can get to me.

i have to agree that the last four songs are the best on the album.

Wow, this is all quite nostalgic, as I've definitely tapered off my Room Noises listening (traded in for "Living Room" and "I Hear Noises", you might say Razz). Of course, I've listened to it many, many times, and it definitely is near the top of the list for 2005 (or all the albums I've listened to, for that matter), and all the songs have been ingrained in my grateful mind.

I'd definitely agree that the album finishes very strongly, although "Just Like We Do" took a little while to grow on me. "Plenty of Paper" was great from the first moment of its distorted intro, and the frantic pace is a nice contrast with "JLWD"'s mellowness. "One Day I Slowly Floated Away" has some great imagery, and I feel that the chorus is one of the best "moments" on the album. I don't think there's anyone out there who doesn't like "Trolley Wood". It's like the (lofty analogy alert) "Street Spirit" of the album, at least in that it's a heckuva strong but restrained conclusion to a great album.

It is a very good run on the album. I generally start listening from Brightly Wound on... but I do love Golly Sandra... so sometimes I can't stand to leave that one out.

I've loved the album from beginning to end since I popped it in the player for the first time.

Same here.

I usually don't ever skip tracks. I like listening to the whole thing [on ANY CD, really.]

Personally, I love the entire Room Noises! There isn't a dull moment in the whole sha-bang to me. From Memories all the way to Trolleywood, my interest is captivated by all of the lovely songs that this CD holds. Just thinking about this record makes me smile-- yay Room Noises! Also, since the band seems especially determined to make sure their next amazing album turns out right, if Room Noises is amazingly fantastic to me, I can't wait to hear their new sound because I'm sure it'll blow me away even moreso!

Do you like "Underwater" By T&S too? It's like my favorite.

I love them all except for Lost at Sea and Trolleywood.

That's right, I said it.

Trolleywood is my least favourite.
