Those are all Oregon staples, too.

We have "warsh," also. We're screwed up.

I say glass.. (just like everyone else, except for thesinisterpenguin)


But my friends and I always get into arguments over the pronunciation of words.

For example:
Wash: is it "wawsh" or "warsh"?
Syrup: is it "seer-up" or "sir-up"?
Salad: "sa-lid" (short a) or "sah-lid"?
Waffle: "wah-full" or "wau-full"?

and my cousin from Georgia makes fun of me when i say "mahm" for mom, instead of "mawm"

My freshman Civics teacher had a book with a map that traced all the accents through the US.

i'm pretty sure its not really necesary to add an "r" to words that dont have it.
