Yes. But no one wants to eat a chocolate Jesus being crucified. No doubt the chocolate would be bitter-sweet. Rolling Eyes

I don't understand the attraction of Easter.

I mean, I understand the symbolism. It's just stupid. Just like Christmas, etc.

Unless you elaborate on the "stupid" thing your post looks like flame bait. I'm a noob here but I doubt the mods allow that here.

I just don't understand why people go to such lengths to celebrate it. For most people it's just an excuse to see family and take off work. And eat chocolate.

It wasn't meant as a flame bait, sir.

@whatchamacallme - If "most people" need the symbolism (stupid or not) to see family, take off work and eat chocolates, we need more symbolism. The symbolism/icons behind most of our religious/pagan holidays help people connect with the meaning of the holidays even if they're not conscious of it.

That made my easter. I'll be eating chocolate with my door double-locked tonight.

hey now, i didn't start this topic to have people argue about it.

christians celebrate easter (or, are supposed to) because it's the day that Jesus was resurrected.

now, with the society that we live in, it's a day to relax and eat candy. i think the candy thing comes from the fact that we were supposed to give stuff up for lent, and now that lent is over, we can indulge in some yummy cadbury eggs.

...but anyway!

i know the members of Eisley are christian, so i'm just wishing them a happy day today.

and even if you don't celebreate Easter, i hope you have a good day today just for the heck of it!
