except for the Trademark thing on the logo, but.....what are you gonna do? God Bless I'm guessing that was quite possibly not entirely voluntary. I mean, it is trademarked. _________________ My photography:www.jamiemphoto.com You can't spell awesome without emo...backwards! -Julie definingawesome (11:44:11 PM): Eisley shivers our timbers |

I had a feeling that when Sherri showed us that drawing in her journal that it might become the album cover. _________________ I know how I was born and I know that I have no choice. I know it may not show on the color of my skin, but I know it’s in my heart and in my soul. –Sara Quin |

i can understand that they want to use it so it is easily regonizable though I completely agree. This font doesn't work. I wish "Eisley" did not appear as a logo, but as a word. The rest of it looks very cool, although it does remind me of the new Tegan & Sara cover. _________________ http://apturnofftheradio.blogspot.com |

Nice! I had a feeling they would go with no group picture on the front. But I didn't picture this. I think it's great though, it fits them. There's always a hint of Sherri's artwork intertwined with the design. I like the new direction while sticking with their roots. And I agree that it would catch my eye if it was on the new releases rack. |

I really quite like the cover art. It's the furthest thing you can get from flashy (aside from Boyd taking a photo of perhaps a sock) and the warm, golden hue is a nice change from the drab but well-loved olive green. And come on, Sherri drew it. Two gold stars in my book already. |

*jen* welcome to L.C. I really do like the cover. Much more than any of the others (very close with laughing city cover). I like that they've kept the same Eisley and I'm also glad they didn't use that "eisley" font for combinations. I really don't have anything to gripe about. This isn't our cover, as long as everyone involved loves it and that it's the way they wanted it to be then I'm all for it. |

I love it. The text on the side really sold me on it. But I do have a few nits to pick about it. The grammar nazi in me will note that "lets" is missing an apostrophe. I'm willing to say that adds character though. The one thing that I is really getting to me though is the fact that the bottom loop of the 'f' in "find" is under the Sherri art. I just seems odd to me that someone would write in the book, and then paste an image in it, and that this image can be centered in the book with the writing places right along its side. It seems a much more organic version of events would be for the picture to have been pasted in the book, and then the words written along its side. In short, I think it'd look better if the f was on top of the Sherri art, or if perhaps the writing was shifted slightly so that they weren't in contention.[/img] _________________ |
