I spent my summer in real, non-westernized, rice paddy china teaching english for a culture exchange type program. One day, I was walking downtown and saw a music studio (a very rare thing) with western pianos, guitars hung on the wall, and drums could be heard in the back. I had dearly missed playing so much. A little bird told the music instructor I played so he gave me a small squatty stool and an acoustic guitar and told me to sing. So, I stuck with what I knew best and played and sang "My Lovely" to a crowd of people who had gathered to stare at the foreigner. It gave me quite a sense of pride to be spreading the Eisley love in China... even though the people couldn't understand a word I sang! _________________ http://www.myspace.com/thetornpaige www.modernvictorian.etsy.com www.myspace.com/modern_victorian |

Now where it's really unheard of is Egypt... I THINK I played some Eisley in my cousin's car when we were driving down next to the beach. I can't remember, I was just flipping thru my ipod (that played thru his car). But I love the idea of that.. music in places you don't expect It's weird to me to think if ANYONE in the whole country even knows who they are, or other bands i listen to |

She mailed me a CD and it had an Eisley song, (Telescope Eyes of course!) and that is how I was introduced to them. |

However, in my city I became a regular at a local bubble tea shop (because they were the only place you could get a real latte) and I am planning on sending them a mixed cd w/ Eisley on it. They already play Coldplay, Imogen Heap, Dashboard, Norah Jones, and others b/c of foreign friend's influence It was really cool walking in there the first time and Coldplay - Fix You was playing. That was when I decided the little bubble tea place would be my home away from home! lol _________________ http://www.myspace.com/thetornpaige www.modernvictorian.etsy.com www.myspace.com/modern_victorian |

Yeah and it doesn't truly matter where this place was - as long as you gave them some freedom and happiness, with no prejudices and no western superiority complex Next time you go let me know! _________________ http://www.eisley-italia.tk ! "Δῶς μοι πᾶ στῶ καὶ τὰν γᾶν κινάσω" |
