This thread has given me some reassurance. 
I guess I'm pretty young to be thinking so seriously but I dunno... Come to think of it, I've maintained strong friendships with people far away before so it shouldn't be much different having a boyfriend far away... Photographs, drawings and eccentric phone and MSN conversations tide me through.
