The colorless words are burning our heels
as the bright lights of the city fade
taking the chase to curb our fear
as the bloodless moon casts her face.

It reminds me of my style of writing - I identified with these words and the whole of Invasion immediately.

The bridge in Combinations. It just gives me goosebumps.

The end of Invasion, when Stacy sings the bridge over Sherri's chorus. It just WORKS somehow.

The guitar in ICTBFY. The tone is so... rich. Like ear candy.

My favorite part of maybe the whole CD is Stacy singing 'I can't be the one to finally pull you out again' and then the dueling vocals in Taking Control. I also love the Taking Control progression change in the first verse and the second verse. It sounds majorish in the the first and then it changes after the first chorus. I love that. And just the 'oooo oh woah oo woah' harmonies right before Stacy sings the bridge in Taking Control. So pretty much Tkaing Control as a whole. Such a great song.

On ICBTFY I like that major chord they play right at the end of the chorus. (I was playing along with the CD the other day and it's actually the I chord of the key) It's a wonderful lift for a dark song. And the bridge in ICBTFY, 'Could someone please walk through with me...'.

Aaaaaand... All the times Stacy sings 'Let's give it a try' on Come Clean, and the little 'pieces' echo that Sherri sings, especially the second time around.

Could someone please walk through with me?
I've got nothing to hide, nowhere to be
Why do we have to come through here
'Cause nothing leads me to you

'Cause you are nothing what you seem
You're always looking out for me
You are nothing what you seem
You're always looking out for me

You'll never contemplate that I am near
And help goes unseen
You're the cave admitting who you choose
And I could be there for you

I pretty much like everything about Invasion but aside from the "Ooh something's not right" I like how Sherri did the "You, you, you" to sound like a theremin from an old sci-fi horror movie.
