Seriously, a limited edition (physical) EP of old stuff like that would make my life.

I figured there's no way you guys would have let that track see daylight if you knew about it/ had any real say in it. Hopefully no one truly believed it was more than a track slipping through the cracks.

My thoughts exactly. What terrified me was the idea that someone who had never before heard Eisley might buy Combinations and stick in the sampler first, then totally hate Eisley forever and return their CD and never listen to them again. I hope that didn't happen, but I can't help but think that somewhere, someone thinks that practice tape is indicative of how Eisley sounds right now. Great job, WB.

Thanks for the clarification, Boyd! Smile

BOGUS!!!!

Oh wait...I guess that wasn't a real question rather than a statement. Thanks for clarifying! Yeah I pretty much figured it had to be a mistake. Even though that little extra bridge in there was interesting. The "Invasion" track didn't sound too bad, but....Yeah, still anxious for the REAL "Sunfeet"!

Huh? I thought there were just three versions of Combinations. The original CD, the special edition CD/DVD and the version through iTunes with Marsh King's Daughter.

Where is this version of Combinations available?

It's not a version of Combinations. It was on a free EP that you get with purchase at certain record stores. And it's on: www.strangeyellowpatterns.com

It was for independent music stores. Or that's what I heard, at least.

I'm so relieved that you guys didn't decide to release that version... it's terrible! Wait, are we talking about the really fast version or the really slow one? Well either way, both are bogus. I have 3 versions and none of them are the one we were supposed to get. Laughing

And I'm with the others on the future release of old unreleased songs.

Perfect EP:
Sunfeet
Wings and Windows
Lady of the Wood
Silver Bugs
Mr. Pine
Queen of Leaves
Lullaby

That's funny, most of us knew something went wrong with the release of that version of Sunfeet. I'm relieved and looking forward to the release of the real Sunfeet. I'd love you to release that Wings and Windows too, I'm really curious about it, people say it's great. Were there any studio versions of Lady of the Wood and Queen of Leaves? Even just demos of those would be great. The live Lady of the Wood recordings are sweet but the only Queen of Leaves live recoding that I have has very bad sound quality.

Ah... hahahahaaaaaaa.

Jeez indeed. It sounds ok to me, but a little unfinished, I guess, now that I think about it.

Unfinished Eisley songs are still pretty much gorgeous anyway.

just add it in, i'd love to hear an updated version of Mr. Pine, and Blackened Crown, actually, basically any old Eisley song, yes indeed...

Sure, I'd love to hear a good version of 'Sunfeet', but please people say goodbye to the old songs. Wouldn't you much rather have an EP of new material? Mr. Pine is potentially my favorite Eisley song, but I don't want them to redo it. I would much rather them write new songs.
