So I just witnessed the best show that I've seen. And I've seen a lot of different acts. Eisley (Sherri, Chauntelle, Stacy, Weston, Garron) you guys have improved so much from the last time I saw you on your Room Noises album tour with Brighten and Simon Dawes at the sweaty Bottleneck in Lawrence, Kansas. I just thought that I'd start this so that you guys could know just how awesome you were tonight. I know that there were a few mishaps on stage from the smiling all around but it didn't effect what you guys were doing. I'm also a musician so it takes a lot to catch my attention the way you guys did. You were not overshadowed by MuteMath. You held your own and we, your fans, love you!!! Oh, and Happy Belated-Birthday to Stacy. I hope that this year may inspire you to do many more great things. I love you guys and wanted to tell you guys how great I think you are!

One of your #1 Fans..

darn you beat me to the punch!

this was my first eisley show ever so i don't have much to compare it too but i thought it was pretty much awesome!

It was really nice meeting the band (even though it was really quick cause other people needed stuff signed).

It was really nice talking to boyd too. ask my mom, i was ecstatic the whole night.

Stacy i hope you at least got a little chuckle out of the birthday card i made.

on a side note these mute math girls really made me laugh in the bathroom. i was holding an eisley poster and they were like "ohh. is that that girl band 'eelsey'?" "um Eisley?" "oh. that makes sense."

haha. girl band. haha. eelsey.

i hope eisley had a great time with the fans from chicago!

It always disturbs me when people call them "the girl band". Confused

I'm SO disappointed/upset. I haven't seen Eisley since the Double Door a few years ago, and had been looking forward to this concert for over a month now.

Here's my experience seeing Eisley at the House of Blues.

*at work*

Me: Hey, you guys know I have to be out of the office before 7, right? I've got a concert today that I'd like to go to.

Co-workers: Absolutely. Just make sure you get all your work done.

Me: No problem.

*all work is done at 4:30*

Me: I'm glad I'm so ahead of schedule, maybe I can catch a bite to eat before the show.

Co-workers: Well, hang on a second. We've got to make some changes to the overall plan. We'll let you know as soon as we've got updates for you to make to your presentation.

Me: ...okay.

*two hours go by, with no call from supervisors*

*FINALLY an email. Makes all changes, and ready to go at 6:45*

Me: Alright, all the changes have been made!
Supervisor: Hang on, let me look over your work.

*30 minutes of tedious work-checking*

Supervisor: Okay, it's good. Thanks for your time.

*darts out of the office. Hops a cab to the House of Blues. Runs up the stairs to hear:

"..And YOUUU, YOU YOU YOU, you would take the cherished people that I hold." BUM BUM BUM! Thank you! Goodnight everybody!!!

Ugh.

i want to see what the band thought of the show.

i mean i saw sherri make faces a few times and stacy's keyboard went out on marvelous things but anybody who didn't know better would've thought it was a great show. i STILL thought it was great.

i wonder if they thought they got decent fan reaction or not.

boyd?

When marvelous things played, I thought it was memories, and i said
"Didn't they already play this?"
I felt embarassed when i realized it was marvelous things. Embarassed
After every song I would hold up this HUGE poster my friend and I made.
I gave it to Weston and said we made it for the band, he smiled, said they'd put it on the bus.
I hope they did.

The band was sooooo nice when I met them.[And Boyd] Stacy and weston made me crack up though.

That's absolutely terrible that you missed them! I am sooo sorry. Did you at least get to talk with them after the show? They were all so nice and they remembered my husband and I from the Yahoo show back in 2005. They are always such a pleasure!

I slightly felt like the show was a tease because it wasn't a full set, but it was so worth it. At least they played some of the songs I really wanted to hear like "I Could Be there for You". Amazing live! They're going back on tour in the Spring headlining Chauntelle said. Hopefully you won't even have to work that day and you'll get even more Eisley! hahaha! Smile

The Room Noises songs were "Memories," "Telescope Eyes," "Golly Sandra," and "Marvelous Things." The older ones were "Just Like We Do" from the Head Against The Sky EP, and "Tree Tops" from the Laughing City EP.

When I first read that I thought you were saying they played "Head Against The Sky" I would kill to hear that song. Really. With my bare hands an all.

Nope, didn't even know that was an option. I was pretty upset anyway, so it's probably for the better: wouldn't want them to mistake my disappointment with work as disappointment with their performance.

Plus, I'm a 6' 9" black guy in my mid-twenties who was there with his wife (we walked down the aisle to "Just Like We Do"), so I think I mighta stuck out like a sore thumb anyway. Smile

i might be wrong on this, but i think yesterday was the first time ive seen them that they havent played head against the sky. but anyways, i loved the show. it was super. i had them sign my train schedule because now il keep it and not throw it out, and be out of the loop when i need to know when the train comes. and WOW did it get cold out afterwords.
