I mean, c'mon... I've read We've Always Lived In The Castle (Shirley Jackson is the best at writing creepy tales), but think about all of those poor book-lovers you ruined the plot for! Side note: the "same-dress girl", Jessie, has a really killer band here in Nashville called Volair. You should check them out. |

Weird! For my English class I had just written a paper on Shirley Jackson's short story, "The Lottery". That's a pretty surprising and mysterious story I must say. I love Sherri's little book reviews. I wonder if she's read that short story. I wonder if Sherri or any of the family have read "Jonathan Strange and Mr. Norrell". I wonder if they would like it... If anyone sees them at a show and if you feel like it, suggest it. _________________ There's an airplane in the sky With a banner right behind Loneliness is just a crime Look each other in the eye |

I JUST read We Have Always Lived In the Castle and it's pretty much my favorite thing ever. Shirley Jackson owns me. I'm basing the female main character in my NaNoWriMo novel off of Merricat. Also, I totally knew she was the killer from the first chapter. _________________ INTELLECT AND ROMANCE OVER BRUTE FORCE AND CYNICISM Smokemonster |

I just started reading "We Have Always Lived in the Castle" since I needed something to read and I trust Sherri's judgment. I really like it so far. _________________ www.kailahandler.bandcamp.com |
