I mean, c'mon... I've read We've Always Lived In The Castle (Shirley Jackson is the best at writing creepy tales), but think about all of those poor book-lovers you ruined the plot for! Wink

Side note: the "same-dress girl", Jessie, has a really killer band here in Nashville called Volair. You should check them out.

Weird! For my English class I had just written a paper on Shirley Jackson's short story, "The Lottery". That's a pretty surprising and mysterious story I must say. I love Sherri's little book reviews. I wonder if she's read that short story.

I wonder if Sherri or any of the family have read "Jonathan Strange and Mr. Norrell". I wonder if they would like it... If anyone sees them at a show and if you feel like it, suggest it.

"Merricat Blackwood, a willful demon prankster attuned to nature, to
the rhythm of the seasons, and to death, and the clear culprit in the
unsolved crime of having poisoned all the remaining Blackwoods family

(apart from Uncle Julian)" - Introduction to the book, written by Jonathan Lethem

Hey, HE gives it away, not me!! Shocked

I JUST read We Have Always Lived In the Castle and it's pretty much my favorite thing ever. Shirley Jackson owns me. I'm basing the female main character in my NaNoWriMo novel off of Merricat.

Also, I totally knew she was the killer from the first chapter.

The "no touch" picture was posted the day before the Detroit show.

Didn't know we'd also get reading advice from this place - I'll definitely look it up.

I just started reading "We Have Always Lived in the Castle" since I needed something to read and I trust Sherri's judgment. I really like it so far.

I'm sure Stacy gets a lot of crazy guys every night. Just because someone doesn't throw his underwear at her doesn't mean they didn't say something at the meet and greet.

I asked her if she'd sign my chest... Boyd wasn't too happy.
