hmmn...well, as I've said before, you guys are way smarter than me.
I have heard and seen RSS but I do not know what it is yet.

I should find out. Smile

RSS makes me feel bad. I avoid it. ha ha.

I can see how useful it is, but I just don't like it.

It squeezes innocent birds dry to fuel the RSS engines.

But not really. ha ha. I just like my posts in context of the forum, and not on a dry list.

Watch this video, RSS in plain English. It's an easy and really good explanation.

Web feeds will seriously save you boatloads of time. Boat. Loads.

Watch that, then go by here to get your Eisley-feeds on.

Aggregators are nice because they store a copy of the post. Chances are if you only have a few feeds and check them regularly, you won't miss posts by them "scrolling off" the Live Bookmark folder, but it could happen.

If you are familiar with the Gmail interface, or better yet really like it, then Google Reader is a great fit. "Tags" let you separate items however you like (news, politics, blogs, friends, entertainment, whatever) so you can read through only certain types of things if you want. The keyboard shortcuts let you go through feeds pretty fast, too.

Certainly if you get above a certain amount of feeds you subscribe to, it makes it easier to manage.

I think I'll take monkey for now. I haven't read The Metamorphasis but get references to it fairly often. Hmm. Not sure how I feel about that. Smile

thats so weird. then however did you come up the name gregor? unless your real name is greg, then that sorta makes sense

What makes you think Gregor isn't my real name? EH?!

Technically, legally, yes, it's Greg. I started going by Gregor to just about everyone towards the end of high school (96; I'm old). I got it from Gregor Mendel. My mom calls me Gregor now, so it's pretty much official. Smile
