Hey yall, I'm new to the fourm (even though I've been a member for a longer amount of time). I did a painting of Eisley (well, Stacy and Sherri [my piece had to be 7" x 7" so I decided that vocals stuck out for my impression of the band]) for one of my illustration classes at MICA. They came to Sonar at Baltimore, I got to meet the fam and I gave them a copy! I thought that you all would appreciate this (seeing that you love them as much as I do!). But I'm a little worried, I had my phone number and email address on the back for a gallery prior to the concert. I hope they didn't think I wanted business! But here is the image!

That's pretty cool. I like the little shapes that make up the different shades and shadows. What is the medium? I like to do computer drawing of the 'cause they have good hair.

Excellent job. I think every fan of Eisley should make something for them.

Awww, thanks everybody! the medium is acrylic, and it's just painted on illustration board. I think they did like it, I was scared because portraits are tricky. I've been working on a style thats a little bit more painterly. I usually work super realistically buts its hard to do that with acrylic paint. If it were oils, it would look so different! But I like working with Photoshop too, patrock, im still learning. But yea, because of it being painterly, they sort of stop being super realistic and stoped looking like them. Sad but it's just my interpretation, there are so many others that are just as valid! Smile Everyone should post their Eisley art on this forum, too!
