At work the other day someone said to me "You're a "groupie!" I have never thought of myself in that way before. I'd been listening to Eisley for two years; the EP's, RN, videos, anything I could find, worshiping from afar, as it were. I would tell people about them, lend them my CD's, but it was like " let them who have ears." Then, the band came to my area. It started with ' the bus', sitting in the parking lot at Downtown Disney. Then we got in line, and lo and behold, there were people right in front of me actually talking about Eisley. Finally, after 2 years I felt like I was HOME. I wasn't alone anymore! And it just kept getting better!! I saw them perform and then after the show met them face to face. Be still my beating heart!! I don't Know. That night just did something to me. I was energized, am energized. "Groupie", well if the 'shoe fits'. Hey! I'm an Eisley groupie , and damned proud of it!! _________________ Mike=] |

Generally, groupies are people who follow the band on tour/hang off of them at every possible moment/sleep with band members (see Almost Famous). So don't listen to your co-worker. You're a fan. _________________ INTELLECT AND ROMANCE OVER BRUTE FORCE AND CYNICISM Smokemonster |

I'd probably be considered a groupie. _________________ http://www.flickr.com/photos/karatherecluse http://www.rosewhiteboyhood.tumblr.com |

I can definitely be obsessive, if that's what you're saying. I go through stages. _________________ www.kailahandler.bandcamp.com |

This is the first time since 2004 that I heard "groupie" and "Eisley" within the same thought. _________________ Power is only pain It’s probably better to have him inside the tent pissing out, than outside the tent pissing in.
