Either way u cut it, it's an endorsement. if you'd seen how many thousands came to see AVA at Reading/Leeds Festivals in the UK... a sea of people. i was told that if Blink returned, they could have literally snagged the headlining slot with no contest - that's over the biggest bands in the world, which seems crazy to me after they've broken up, etc. but... gives you an idea of the impact Tom has. I know, I know... you're thinking - how could they like eisley then. I dunno. Maybe they wouldn't. The point - if there are only 200 kids out of Tom's hundreds of thousands of fans that decide to check out Eisley, it's way better than none or a kick in the head. Besides - I think his musical line up is very respectable. Putting his own record up there is part of his own shtick. Yes, it's laughable. If you knew him, you'd sorta get it. It's an alter-ego or something. He's a very caring, warm guy... over-confident, perhaps, but very vulnerable and honest in person. Completely different bands! But all old school blink182 fans are in their 20's and can appreciate good music, hence eisley! The reason people loved blink was because they were a unique band! I don't know if I'm making any sense. However I am not a fan of AVA! I remember when mark and tom first started macbeth, and its amazing to see how much its grown and all the great bands that are a part of macbeth! Haha, and its incredible to hear you say that blink couldve easily taken the headlining spot!

i'm a blink fan too. i love tom. and i will check out the music he mentioned. he has good taste. he really does like eisley a lot. he blogged and put up myspace bulletins promoting combinations the week it came out. i thought that was pretty cool.
