Hey y'all I need your help with something! I've tought myself how to play several of my favorite Eisley songs on my keyboard. I have no training whatsoever and all of the songs I have learned how to play I did by ear. So far I know how to play:
I Could Be There For You
Mr. Pine
Telescope Eyes
Many Funerals
and Like The Actors.

I have been working on trying to figure out Head Against The Sky and I just can't figure it out for the life of me! Do any of you on here know how to play it?

i do! i do!.

it's quite simple once you figure it out. i'll try and record a "how to..." video, although i'm not quite sure of every little part through the time when they are singing. but i know the chords. the ending is my favorite part of the song to play.

Awsome!! Could you possibly just tell me what the notes are? I don't have a computer at home so I rely on my Sidekick for internet, unfortunantly Sidekicks dont support video so I would really have no immediate way of watching it. unless if you do end up taking the video can you post it on youtube? then I can watch it on my iTouch next time I'm in a Wi-Fi hotspot!

yeah, definately.

i'm trying to think of exactly how i could write it out, give me a little bit to figure it out and i'll come back and tell you whether or not it will be possible for me to get it down into sheet music form.

you don't have to write it down in sheet music form. I can't read notes, like I said I'm totally self tought and have not studied music at all. just write it out for me in like really simple form. For example: C, A, G, F, E. Something like that! Thanx! =]

You figured ICBTFY out? Oh, I've been trying so hard, that's great.
I wish I could help with head against the sky...buttttt, I can't. So I'll just tell you that you have super deli-cut (haha) taste for the music you chose to learn. Good luck!

ahahaha!!! DELI-CUT!!! You used Stacy's word! you're the only other person I've know to use it besides me! she told us to take it for a spin so I took her up on her offer!!! Smile

yeah, ICBTFY is really easy, so is Mr. Pine, and everytime I heard HAGTS I always thought it sounded easy, but it deffinitely isn't. I've been trying to figure it out for like 3 weeks now and no luck. =[
Makes me feel not so Deli-Cut.

Intro:

F#1, F#2, A2, E3, A2, F#2,
F#1, F#2, A2, E3, A2, F#2,
C#2, F#2, A2, C#3, A2, F#2,
C#2, F#2, A2, C#3, A2, F#2,
D2, F#2, A2, D3, A2, F#2,
D2, F#2, A2, D3, A2, F#2,
C#2, F#2, A2, C#3, A2, F#2,
C#2, F#2, A2, C#3, A2, F#2.

And then when that repeats every second time through, you just play the last three notes slightly different, but I'm sure you can hear what it does. Stacy is so awesome at making simple stuff like this just rule and feel so eerie.

Sorry it took so long. I plugged in the wrong adaptor for my keyboard and took forever to realize why it was barely making any noise, hah.
