Eisley are busy writing songs right now and hopefully going back to the studio soon, but if ever their tour cycles lined up again I probably wouldn't mind that pairing (though I wouldn't pay Coldplay prices to see an Eisley opening set). _________________ INTELLECT AND ROMANCE OVER BRUTE FORCE AND CYNICISM Smokemonster |

Hmm . . . y'all see Boyd's latest post? The One and Only Boyd wrote: What
if we were on the verge of some landing some amazing tour? Could I discuss? Not unless it was final. So... perhaps nothing has changed... meaning - I can only talk about things that are in concrete. btw - we haven't had an offer from Radiohead or any other blogornic-sized band, so I'm really just speaking in hy-pathetical terms. I suppose I will become good at small talk until such a time as more can be said. Things are developing. I would not lie. My meaning is not intended to be illusory. I would not say such words if I were me. I swear to you... the world is spinning 'round. So much (so) - that I feel like the fool on the hill. Sorry - that was figurative; I cannot use the phrase "spinning 'round" without completing the reference... so here's another clue for you all: "he never gives an answer... (the fool on the hill)". So they're talking to Paul McCartney, perhaps? _________________ Classical guitar cover of "Combinations": http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gkIpDhvbd2o |

http://www.myspace.com/tdwp That would be something. Wait, you also suggested they go on Projekt Revolution, right? I, for one, am pretty glad Eisley plans to tour with more bands who 'match'. _________________ "The artist, like the God of creation, remains within or behind or beyond or above his handiwork, invisible, refined out of existence, indifferent, paring his fingernails."(J.Joyce) |

I actually think they should tour with Thrice, and I've broached the subject to Dustin (the lead singer), though probably in vain, haha. But I think Eisley would be a terrific opener for them. Their style of music has changed in recent years, and I think they are compatible touring partners now. Plus I think the band can appreciate Dustin's heavily biblically/spiritually-influenced lyrics (Dustin is a devout Christian). Two absolutely incredible bands, and it would be my ideal tour, personally. But basically, any band but Say Anything. Yes, I just received the horrible horrible (because of the person, and not because of the news itself) news (which out of respect for the involved parties, i won't talk about because I know it's a private matter, and ultimately none of my business.). But Sherri, you're pretty much the perfect woman. Why... Well, as long as she's happy (and may she always be). (...but seriously, major, major downgrade.) Sorry, ok I'm done! I couldn't help myself, I had to get that last part off my chest, even if in a convoluted and ambiguous way. |
