Kim--I honestly believe that Eisley is going to encounter enormous amounts of mainstream success....similar to Coldplay. I don't think they'll be a nice little indie band like Death Cab for Cutie. I feel they will be a staple in radio airplay for the next ten-fifteen years. _________________ Hello my name is CHRIS and... |

Hmm, I'd say all Eisley needs is time and the appropriate exposure. I believe Eisley already has enough creativity to capture people with the way they present themselves and their music. I don't see why there would be any need for say the record company to have to promote any sort or sense of style for a marketing gimmick or something like that. Eisley, to me, seems like a new genre (nigh unclassifiable perhaps). On the other hand, its hard to judge how people will react to music that they aren't used to. Eisley in the public eye, to me, seems inevitable on a large scale. They have the potential to be on a higher level. Maybe a record or two more under the yolk Texas, then probably everyone will catch on to the fantastical phenomenon that is and will be Eisley. Thats just my hypothesis... -Kyle P.S. Happy Valentines day Kim, and to the rest of the clan (Collin and Christie I think) whom are in Texas with you |

A part of me says that i want you guys to be as big as anyone could be and get all the glory you deserve. And it will be great to see you on TV and winning awards and what not But then theres the part of me thats kinda wants it to stay simple because it makes it more enjoyable to go a show where there isnt 5 bajillion people and it takes away from the personal level that i think alotta people share with the band. _________________ i should have been bordie of the month...every month. |

And if it helps any, if they mess with the band's style or identity, it'll be over my dead body. All I can say is, WB feels like eisley's strength is just being who they are... Btw... I love Deathcab, but...their performance of "The Sound of Settling" was pretty rough last night on the late night show. Probably the TV mix; no harmonies on "ba-bahhh" wasn't good. Now back to the thread - On Eisley - I don't know the future. I'm too close to it. Forest for the Trees. Maybe it's best that way... Happy Valentines day to Kim and the homies in Tyler. Kim makes interesting threads. _________________ EisleyWebGuy "The industrialists never saw the fruit of their own labor - Post Moderism, which I now proclaim as dead. The thing is, Eisley's music is just too good for the world not to go insane over them. I basically agree with what everyone has said in this thread. True I am a newcomer (since the first week of november 2003, though I did not register on the forum till january) but that just proves my point. All I had to listen to were rough indy cuts of songs until I got ahold of laughing city and marvelous things, but I still loved what I heard. Even today, Ive heard real rough cuts of Sun feet, lost at see, and they all surrounded me and i love them and cant wait to hear what the sound like from the studio. I guess that I am old fashioned in the sense that all i really want from a band are good songs and awesome live shows. People tend to talk a lot about the future of bands and how they grow etc., but I dont really care about that junk. Just keep making great music and that is all you can really do to rise and stay on top, other than doing shock gimmicks and that type stuff. But good music lasts and gimmicks die fast. _________________ Hail to the King, baby theufbproject.com |

Probably the TV mix; no harmonies on "ba-bahhh" wasn't good. Now back to the thread -. I'm glad I'm not the only one who noticed that. TV is notorious for weak mixing, though. My views will be posted tonight, when I'm not on an early deadline. _________________ My photography:www.jamiemphoto.com You can't spell awesome without emo...backwards! -Julie definingawesome (11:44:11 PM): Eisley shivers our timbers |

When I saw Eisley at Red Rocks, they caught my attention real fast. At first I just thought it was just another opening band, but it totally wasn't. I would have been happy if they played for another 3 hours in the rain. I think that is saying something about Eisley's future. They have a long, but beautiful road ahead of them. _________________ There is no such thing as luck, only preparation with opportunity. |

Yeah, I thought Deathcab sounded pretty bad last night, but I'm still a fan. ::On Topic-ness:: HOODIES Do something different with hoodies, like put a design of some sort on the hood (say, an E maybe), or anything that would set it apart as being different. I might be able to verbalise it better than I can type it out. Sometimes I think better as I'm talking. I'd also suggest being careful (of avoiding all-together) any posters featuring one member of the band. Even if you make posters for each member, fans will have favorites and it can quickly stop being about the band. (making posters featuring individual members is also a good way to make money, though) Keep up the excellent work designing album covers. A good cover design can grab the attention of wandering eyes, and often inspire someone to check out a band. This goes with anything that has images, though. _________________

there's no doubt eisley will be big. Deanda and I have discussed this in the past... course some of us want to be selfish and lock them in brewtones for our own enjoyment forever. but they make us proud with every accomplishment, eisley is like family we love to watch them use their talents and make people smile _________________ Gavin Rocks ask and it will be given... seek and you're sure to find... knock and the door will be open... http://www.eisley.com/Dianda%20wMoss.jpg |
