Yet the RIAA blames the public for declining sales. _________________ http://www.twitter.com/drstrangeblog http://www.last.fm/user/getinline I can't find the time to write my mind the way I want it to read. |

You understood what I was saying, but it doesn't mean what you apparently took it to mean. I do think she's faking the emotions of the song, and I don't dig that. I also think she did a fine job on the song. The two are not mutually exclusive. Like Ewan said, if it were just audio I'd download it, but as a video I can't stand to watch it.[/quote I've always thought that there must be a degree of difference when the composer of the song sings it, than when another artist does! I mean the composer knows exactly what they feel and want to communicate in a song, while the performer can only guess at it! Anyway that's always intrigued me _________________ Mike=] |

Anyway that's always intrigued me It's not that we're claiming she doesn't understand the artist's intention of the song (or even commenting on whether she should try and emulate that), it's that we feel her performance is disingenuous. _________________ EisleyForever wrote: you're A-list in my heart!
