Thoughts from the 2 YT vids: Stacy's blue dress is beautiful, Chauntelle sounded better than any other time I've heard her part on ICBTFY, wished I could see what guitars she was playing, the new song slices make me want to hear more, and Sherri & Stacy perform magic when singing together. It's so easy to over-analyze stuff, keep in mind these are 3 songs from a stack of 40 they have written and they might not even end up on the next album after all is said and done. I'm sure there will be some fast ones, some slow ones, some hard ones, and some soft ones. I had gone in with intention of recording the whole thing myself, but it seems that the recording stopped during the third song, so I just decided not to bother with it. They don't have to be on the album, just make sure they get a good release. It would just feel like a waste otherwise. Yeah there were some ROWDY kids next to me, everyone was weirded out and back off a good 5 feet until this group was sort of cut off from the rest of the crowd. That, the technical problems, and everyone being tired I think all contributed to the overall awkwardness of the show. There were some definite beautiful moments though. And that was well worth the trip for me. |
