I shot some footage from way, way, way, way back... from mix position, where Eisley actually sounded beautiful. But let's not talk about sound, engineering and speaker placement. If the footage turns out good, I'll post some more moments. Thnx Ali. _________________ EisleyWebGuy "The industrialists never saw the fruit of their own labor - Post Moderism, which I now proclaim as dead. long. long. long....long (compared to the past for me anyways) time no post. This is far beyond "best era" for me and found this to be the best place to say this to the band finally, As soon as I heard about this show I was excited for Eisley and the people who could see it and I'm glad to see the Rhodes back in the show....first and foremost..and want to say the new songs I've heard sound insane and can't wait to hear more once the band finds it time to release it on us. I took a good near-year break from listening to Eisley (thanks to the Brits' and their insane bands/artists coming out of the UK), and the other day a song from Combinations that I threw under the bus when the album came out...Come Clean...started playing on my ipod while I was driving. Once the bridge began I remembered why I grew attached to the music that the Duprees have been making. Trends come and go, but this band and the songs that they produce come with something more than just vibrations. They hit me deep and I hope they know that people hear and feel what they create. As an art/graphic designer, I know how it feels to spend hours/weeks/months/years+ on end on one thing not knowing what the response will be and just hoping it will influence one person to do something in their life. I strive to become to one person what Eisley has become to me. A beacon of drive and imagination. - I know you've been trying to stray from the tall tale mermaids and forests, but it's beyond that. it's not just the subjects that have drawn your audience. I've been looking back on past sessions of your career and it has made me reevaluate (for the better) my desire to continue with my major/future and I want to thank you for everything you [Eisley] have made. Every record, single, song, verse, and chorus will always be something close to me and my creative drive. Keep it going Eisley. We're all rooting for you. Logging off officially from The LC...(for now) |

Smarter is indeed badass. As is Max. I personally like his influence and hope to see more of it on the album. I thought the Muzakyness sound that kind of took them over for a while was pretty..."a semi-negative, useless opinion." Their old songs have remained my favorite and I'd like to see some new stuff replace them if possible, and Smarter sounds like it could be a contender. That's not to say I don't like the pretty, slow songs--they have their place, too, of course--but I also love to see Chauntelle and Sherri rawk out. _________________ Albert Camus wrote: Always go too far, because that's where you'll find the truth. |

so, after 2 long, wonderful roadtripping days i am home getting these videos off my camera. does the fact that i watched my footage on my home-theater floor to ceiling screen and it was barely blurry make up for the fact that it's shaky in parts? not as shaky as my mom's videos of christie, but it was late and my wrist was cramping. harhar. will get them up asap! http://princesstripandfall.blogspot.com/2009/04/eisley-baylor-u.html |
