Somebody must have had a pile of these laying around waiting for the right moment. Going for $50 a pop = Right moment...

Whatever. We probably won't try for this one. My boyfriend almost got it the last two times, but blah.. it's frustrating.

^ Yeaahhhh, I know. We've been outbid(ded?) every time by one or two dollars, but it's not a big deal. I mean, I want the record but at the same time it doesn't matter that much to me if I don't have it. I think my boyfriend feels the same, so, like I said, not a big deal. I'll probably mention this one to him again but I don't care either way.

woah! these are going for $50? I guess they've become rare; how many were there? Mine's still sealed. Sits on the shelf next to a few transformers and books.

I'm kind of in the same boat. I'd like to have one, but I don't think it's a big deal. I keep watching these auctions and then I forget about them until they're over.

I know it probably costs a lot, but I wish Eisley would just reprint it. They would make so much money off it because so many people would want it. I know I'd buy AT LEAST two copies. But I don't know.. I don't quite know all of the logistics going into making these things.

My guess is that WB owns those records, and they would have to buy back the rights to those records from WB. So essentially WB would have to be willing to either part with ownership of those records and allow Eisley to have some pressed and distributed, or WB would have to see it as a lucrative source of revenue to reissue it on vinyl (like if Eisley breaks big and that renews interest in their previous albums in a major way).

Otherwise they could do what some other artists have done, which is re-record the songs/ album, and release that recording, which they would own. If they own the copyrights to their material they are free to do that. The cost would be the recording time and production costs, plus the costs of pressing the album and distributing it. A small imprint might think it's a neat idea to bankroll, but I think it's probably too soon for that. Maybe when they've gotten some momentum after LP3 has been out for a while and made the waves I sincerely believe it will, and I would even say after LP4, that a 10th anniversary version of Room Noises (2015) would be the time to do it (WB reissue limited edition Vinyl or they rerecord it on their own terms and release it).

You can easily find CD duplication ads in any music related magazine.

One thing I have wondered is how much vinyl printing costs?

Is it cheaper now that it's more popular or the opposite - who even does it?

I know there are little bitty labels that print vinyl, so I wouldn't think it'd be astronomical.

(I'm not talking in relation to Eisley since there's the whole ownership/WB thing you're addressing, just if a regular joe wanted to print vinyl of his/her music).
