^ Not Matador looking at Eisley, me looking at Eisley the band as they were/ as they used to be, leaning more towards more whimsical pop, lighter fair. I think they are going to have more with Liz Phair (matador past) in their sound, than they might with Cat Power or Bell & Sebastian, when before it might have been the other way around. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Oh synchronicity, I love you! http://www.popcrunch.com/demi-lovato-rehab/ I was watching TV last night, and Duffy came on, and I thought to myself, "Man, I don't like her music at all, she's no Amy Winehouse!" And of course Rehab is playing in my head at that moment... So yeah, Hollywood just got a touch more press than they bargained for by way of the unfortunate condition of one of their acts. _________________ yup, that's my name. Voodoo Eros? Probably not, just popped to mind because it's based in Brooklyn. _________________ |

Yeah, I'm a huge Demi fan, and I just saw her perform again in August. I've been waiting for the other shoe to drop on this since she deleted her Twitter account and word got out that she was off the tour. It's sad, because you'd think she'd be having the time of her life right now. Oh well, it sounds pretty complicated, but hopefully she'll be alright. And it's funny you should mention Liz Phair. I was a really big fan up through Whitechocolatespacegg, then she lost me. |

On Demi - Touring with an ex who's one of the most sought after young males on the planet can't be easy. I can honestly say I know of her in name only, as it seems Disney really does have an assembly line method to creating pop stars & starlets. On Liz - Yeah, I think that was checkout time for alot of her fans. Her "BIGROCK" comeback was a mixed bag, but there are reasons behind that. I liked some of her songs on the s/t record. _________________ yup, that's my name. FOR YOUR RATING PLEASURE: 4 LIKE Buttons, 1 NEUTRAL, 1 VEXED, 5 DISLIKE buttons. Yeah, I read this WSJ blog post about Liz Phair's latest album the other day and thought it was interesting. It sounds like the folks at her label thought she'd gone nuts. I've heard a few of the tracks on youtube, and I can't say they did much for me, but I guess I'll give her some credit for sticking to her guns. Label news: Sherri said last night that they'll be revealing the new label THIS WEEK. WHOA. Demi: I just read about it. Apparently Joe Jonas brought his new girlfriend on tour, too, which must be pretty stressful for her. I am generally a fan of hers, because she seems like a genuinely good person (non-fake Christian, close with family) and she's vocally more talented than any of her celebrity peers. I hope the emotional treatment/rehab works out for her. That really sucks. _________________ Taylor | @thbrogan http://inconnumag.com |

Yep, Boyd posted that we're supposed to get the 411 today (11/4). marshkingsdaughter wrote: Demi: I just read about it. Well, when I consider that I discovered The Snake The Cross The Crown on Equal Vision it's find by me. It's nice to see that Codeseven is still listed on their active roster. That's a band Eisley fans who dig Radiohead and atmospheric indie rock should check out. But yeah, we were all WRONG! They can still rock the E. and now it means double. _________________ yup, that's my name. FOR YOUR RATING PLEASURE: 4 LIKE Buttons, 1 NEUTRAL, 1 VEXED, 5 DISLIKE buttons.
