Same here, that jumped out at me, Taking the High road, but there's a furtive pause with that line Twisted Evil

Why don't you all f-f-f...fade away...

"How could I be so unendingly forced into this course?" That line hit my like a claw hammer. I know exactly what it means.

"Don't tell me what you think I'm meaning to say." "Oxygen Mask" is so quotable, but that line really hit me; it's subtle, but it say so much.

Funny, the lines I like least have apparently gone over quite well.

My picks:
"'Cause I've finally found out you’re on my side, with a bullet for the bad guys.
Hallelujah."

"Real heartbreaker come and take me to the real heartache that everyone’s talkin' ‘bout. You see me, then you don't, but get it right, I don't believe in magic."

"Into the sea you fell, in love with the reflection of yourself."

"You're so profound but you're not found / And if I could, I'd just claim you"

Feeling like you notice a quality in someone you admire that no one else picked up on, or doesn't appreciate as much as you.
Plus the Lost/Found/Claim imagery does wonder for me. I love this line.

Most of the questioning and critical lines to the offending parties in these songs are just the right kind of "pointed" observation, and in some cases so real and matter of fact. They are on their stuff this go around Very Happy

Musically, it's impressive this time around. I think I've noticed that more in the first few listens thus far.

I love how Sherri sings "I'm smarter than you think" and then for the chorus has the alternating line of "I'm smarter than youuuuu...." and it sounds like another word is going to follow, and the mind says, "Oh, OK, it's just a little variation of the full line." But no, dropping that last word makes a BIG semantic difference! Majorly clever.

Also, who else is down with the backing "ba-da-ba-ba"s in 'Watch It Die"? Love There are a LOT of great filler backing vocal bits going on if you listen for them.

Indeed. There's a lot of sassy lines in there!

I could pretty much quote everything everyone put! When I read through them, I keep thinking "Oh yeah! I noticed that one, too!"

Something that just dawned on me was the progression of Mr. Moon. The added line in the last chorus: And oh, what can be said for the gift that has flown into my hand? In my hand totally takes a desperate situation and looks at the silver lining by the end of it.

Pretty obvious concept, but it just clicked for me recently how adding that shows the changes of thought.

Nothing really sticks out to me too much, but I do like:

So put your hands together and clap for this painful choice you’ve made

The imagery is delightfully cynical.

Agreed. The background vocals on this album are crazy. I'm really impressed with them because it really adds another layer to the songs. The second verse of "Sad" is pretty awesome, too. I really love this album. It already feels like family.

In this line, who is the person who made the choice?

Thanks.
