All Plenty of Paper content is no longer available via Strange Yellow Patterns. I will post the content in the threads here on Laughing City for archival purposes. Unfortunately, the first volume of Just Like We Do was composed on the SYP editor and not in a word processing program and I will have try and obtain it from the internet wayback machine or it is otherwise lost. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Start here http://www.strangeyellowpatterns.com/ Expect something new each Monday in August. Sorry it took so long to get something new up. Life requires living and all our wonderful contributors are doing just that. This is only but a small, wonderful, part of it. Enjoy! ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Also, all the new articles are grouped under one section, called: Plenty of Paper. http://www.strangeyellowpatterns.com/plenty-of-paper They'll continue to appear on the main page, but now you can access them all grouped by what series they belong to. _________________ yup, that's my name. Thanks Norad! I thought I had corrected the font size and bold to match initially, but then I'm pretty sketchy when it comes to recognizing font size differences or whether a font is bold, or just a similar font that is thicker. _________________ yup, that's my name. I am still behind on drawing the avatars for the reviewers. You saw yours but I have to do the other participants... I will make the time soon. I just did some changes to the site and posted a new feature article column: Just Like We Do Volume 1 It's a brand extension for SYP. BTW, where the heck did July go! Crazy fast month. _________________ yup, that's my name. FOR YOUR RATING PLEASURE: 4 LIKE Buttons, 1 NEUTRAL, 1 VEXED, 5 DISLIKE buttons. LC > FB = personal fave = Eisley fans should dig it |

Actually that would be great. I will email you the one I have done, and share the concept I want to execute with the designs. _________________ yup, that's my name. FOR YOUR RATING PLEASURE: 4 LIKE Buttons, 1 NEUTRAL, 1 VEXED, 5 DISLIKE buttons. LC > FB = personal fave = Eisley fans should dig it |

Any time I have tried to stick around usually some butthole security guy will force me to move on. Dress sexy. i show them "the picture" lol the best way is to get as close as possible. i usually get front row right in front of chauntelle. eyeball the set list so you can see right where it's at. usually by her foot. then as soon as the encore is over reach over and grab it. that is how i got 4 out of the five. one of them i had to ask the roadie for and he gave it to me. but most of the time no one is even asking for them here is a shot of them all here is a clickable one in case you want to blow it up https://imageshack.com/i/f0kfpm4Kj you will notice the one dated 5 19 11 is not the same date as the ticket. the set list is photocopied so they must have played the same show. the problem is everytime i go to a show i get nervous because i dont want it to be the first time i dont get one. _________________ Wil's excellent description of me. wilsmith wrote: You're the Anti-Censorship+Topless Twitpic Parodying+Youth Group Video Directing guy that's a champion for the 1st amendment, Videogames as Art, and unrepentant file sharing... Cool photo. Seems like there were times after the show where I could see the setlist and I would try to get the roadie to hand it to me, but they would just ignore me. I did actually meet musicians by waiting in back of the venue though. Met Jeremy Enigk at my first 'real' show. I didn't know any better and I think I knew some other people were doing it somehow. The other time, I saw Wilco in Atlanta right after 9/11. I got Jeff Tweedy to sign my ticket stub. _________________ I am Torgo. I take care of the place while the Master is away. |

i got really lucky because at the first eisley show i went to I got to meet the whole band and get pictures with them. at the 4 subsequent shows I have yet to meet them at all. Kind of of a bummer. _________________ Wil's excellent description of me. wilsmith wrote: You're the Anti-Censorship+Topless Twitpic Parodying+Youth Group Video Directing guy that's a champion for the 1st amendment, Videogames as Art, and unrepentant file sharing... I went to a lot of Brewtones shows and they were just hanging around. They were usually with friends and family and I never really felt like bothering them. I don't really know what I would say to them anyway. It is usually someone close who opens, so you would have to interrupt them enjoying their friend or family perform. If you hang with them at the next show, what would you talk to them about? This just reminded me of those unreleased tracks they were going to have on Kickstarter. We need to see if we can get them to release them anyway. _________________ I am Torgo. I take care of the place while the Master is away. |

bigideas wrote: If you hang with them at the next show, what would you talk to them about? Well I didn';t hang with them at all I found them. said Hi and asked for a picture/autograph. I saw boyd outside and i hung with him and Marc for a bit. While talking to him I saw Chauntelle and Weston. I asked Boyd if it was cool if I went over there and he said sure. So i went over chatted with them about how far I traveled to come to the show. Had weston snap my photo of me and chauntelle had chauntelle take the pic of weston and i saw Sherri while she was getting coffee Saw Johnathan just randomly got Stacy after the show i even ran into Kim! and christie everyone was real nice. All in all it was a grand time note this was 2005 before camera phones and you didn't have a digital camera unless you had cash. Hence the nastly glow. if I saw them now i would just say hi. I'd tell Sherri I was the dude who sent her the comics she asked about. other than that just shoot the poop. They are just people you know? And totally approachable. _________________ Wil's excellent description of me. wilsmith wrote: You're the Anti-Censorship+Topless Twitpic Parodying+Youth Group Video Directing guy that's a champion for the 1st amendment, Videogames as Art, and unrepentant file sharing...
