Nah, just comparing Eisley's sound to the sound of Belly, an alt. rock band from the early 90s. Tonya Donnelly broke away from The Breeders and formed her own short-lived band. The vocals and guitars sound similar. Hasn't anyone here heard of Belly? Or all you all just fascinated by the quote option?

I listened to a couple of Belly songs yesterday, and I must say that I hear the similarities you mentioned. I hadn't heard Belly before, but I'd heard of them.

I heard Belly today.
i could hear similarities in the vocal work.
Not so much the song styles.
Sounded good though.

hey kim, pulled out my belly cd and listened this morning to make the comparison official. you are right. the vocals are really similar. the instrumental work on belly "star" is a bit more complicated than what i've heard from eisley. belly seems to be minor driven (?).

that said, i really like both sounds.
