Enough of the dark-tinted green, it is far too reminiscent of emo bands (or dark-tinted colors in general I guess). Use brighter colors, AND NO GREEN (for at least another album, please). _________________ ...the language confuses like computers refuse to understand how I'm feeling today... I'M NOT GOING TO DO DRAB GREEN. but honestly, Room Noises wasn't based on this forum color scheme. It's warm, but also has brown's... What I wanted to do ended up as the Final Noise Poster. that's what i submitted but it got shot down. "Laughing City" forum is based on the CD graphic - Laughing City ep. yes. it was drab green. But Marvelous things shifted a little and intro'd purples. Those two came out the same year and were almost like a full length together... I hated Marvelous Things cover and didn't want to use it... but management saw the idea and pushed it. The thing u have to understand is.... nobody saw those ep's really. u did, but... they were very insignificant. The first record was the introduction to the industry and I didn't want to vere to far away from an introductory look/feel... i'll try to show u what i'm thinking. it's really smart. good colors - you'll love it... and it's... well, hold on. I'll go make the cd right now and we'll be done with this for good. bd _________________ EisleyWebGuy "The industrialists never saw the fruit of their own labor - Post Moderism, which I now proclaim as dead. ![]() See? it has the right colors. not the wrong ones. that's why it's better. Plus - the concept is there.... the aquatic, dinosauric vibrancy just leads your eye into a spasmic frooty, loopy-doopy DOOKIE. THAT'S what i'm talkin' about. I'm glad i could make the album art so fast because i'm so busy. Now i can go stare at my drab green flash cards again. ![]() _________________ EisleyWebGuy "The industrialists never saw the fruit of their own labor - Post Moderism, which I now proclaim as dead. I'd just prefer it to look cool, not worry about what color it's going to be. When you look at an album cover, you should be able to kind of discern the tone of the album. And since Boyd is on the job, I think both of those will happen. Executives, though, have no clue about good design, and will force weird ideas upon you just because they're afraid. Heck, most marketing firms these days have no clue about good design. Artists should take more charge in their marketing; like Kubrick. _________________ Scriptozoology, a screenwriting blog ..
