Post subject: I just got the greatest Miles Davis album ever!

it's called Nefertiti, anyone here heard it? Well, if you haven't it's a late 60's be-bopish jazz piece, which follows all of the "rules" of 60's be-bop jazz, except that all of the chords and beats that are played which are usually the only non-improvised in that style of jazz, are being totally improvised, it is awesome! They're just playing what sounds good together.. if you like jazz, this album is a must, I think,, ... . mmm.. i'm eating it all up :-9
anyway, I also got a cool radiohead pin, (with a red crying minotar) and an alien pin, .. horay for small record stores!!! \o/ {Last Record Store you're a life saver }
anyway.. yes.. I suppose not much to reply to here, dum-de dum-de dum... _________________ "strength is just an accident arising from the weakness of others."

Miles Davis was the king of jazz.
I don't think I have ever heard a bad song by him. _________________ themom

:-O
I actually don't have the kind of blue album, i've got tons of other ones of his though hehe.. but I don't really wanna get any miles davis on CD, all of the albums of his that I have are on vinyl, and I just haven't been able to find a vinyl version of kind of blue yet.. same story with the album 'cookin' with the miles davis quintet' which is starting to bug me actually hehe..
anyway, you want to download a great miles davis song, download "Salt Peanuts" it should be off of the album 'Steamin'" it's the greatest jazz song I think i've ever heard.. _________________ "strength is just an accident arising from the weakness of others."

yeah I suppose I could to, but I got this lame miles davis album called 'doo-bop' stay away from that album...
this album is nothing but quiet, soul-less trumpet with rapping and hip hop beats over the top.. I was very dissapointed.. they must have made it after he died.. _________________ "strength is just an accident arising from the weakness of others."

Thanks for the tip.
I'll steer clear of that one.
And yea it was probably released after his death.......I find it hard to believe that he would have approved anything crappy to be sold with his name on it. _________________ themom

Yea.......anything to make a buck.
Look what they've done to Elvis since he died.......he's worth more now than when he was alive. _________________ themom

I know! and Tu-Pac came out with 16 albums after his death.. now how could he have managed that?
I guess some people have to eat though right? and others have to drive their Porshe's .. _________________ "strength is just an accident arising from the weakness of others."
