up on e-merge. The L.A.S. remix is sorta a remix, huh....it's more like - he took the tracks and added beats and messed with it digitally...a remix, but not the typical dance beat. It's done by Beck's piano player. Eisley played these versions of T.E's and Golly Sandra exactly as you hear them on the Snow Patrol tour, so....there shouldn't really be any surprises for any who saw them... and, I documented the details of tempo, the lap, etc. on the journal while it was happening. gotta go! we're in LA and are starving! bd Yeah, now i remeber you mentioning it, tho i must ask, if the band had much say in the change of tempo and adding of instrumentation to "lost at sea"? or the westerization of "Golly Sandra". They just seem less eisleyish and more radio friendly. Almost as if the girls are singing over a premade song, less of a feeling of a band. I dunno. _________________ http://www.nicholasvenaglia.com |

lost at sea is probably the best of the three tracks.... these tracks altogether are growing on me with repreated listens... although there need to be weeks for a definitive opinion to be formed... by the way sherri why did you change the lyric "pallid" to "thoughtful"? j-j-j-just curious. _________________ "You're my favorite person." - David Carradine, Kill Bill vol. 2 |

that's my bad. I feel like such a geek for doing that - like committing a major sin in the Eisley world. I'm on vacation right now (updating from my hotel room), so I guess I was more intent on not forgetting my snorkel gear than making sure I looked over my posts. |

I think they sound gorgeous. Am I mistaken? _________________ Scriptozoology, a screenwriting blog .. Facebook |

I hate them. The songs are crap. Nah... who am I fooling?! "Golly Sandra" is pretty darn great, I must say. And I'm glad to hear "Lost at Sea" stayed pretty simple. I was never terribly fond of Telescope Eyes to begin with... so I don't really have anything to say about it. Good stuff so far! And no, you're not mistaken, Boone. _________________ "If you're a ninja, every day is like friday." -Jamie M. |

I knew it. Maybe I'm just a huge slide guitar fan. And "Golly Sandra" fan. And "Lost at Sea" fan. And Eisley fan. Sure, the first "Telescope Eyes" was the best, but it's still good. I think we're just spoiled from listening to so much Eisley. _________________ Scriptozoology, a screenwriting blog .. Facebook |

well, what i hear so far is rather good. however, the quality of streaming audio sucks in general, so i'll hold my judgment until i hear the songs on the cd itself (which, depending on how soon i can get warner to send a promo copy to wmuc, hopefully won't be too long) |
