if anyone has the mag on them, they should type the text, cuz i dont have it.

raise your goblet of rock to eisley! mmm and fill it with something sweet and kicky!!

sorry for the small informational and large weird components of this post. it is saturday night after all.

Awesome, thanks for the heads up. Yeah, B+ is a solid grade from just about anywhere. Especially for a debut that really busts current conventions. Nice. Smile

EW is usually harsh on their grading. so for eisley to get a B+ is awesome! is that the Oscars issue?

Really? I have to go check my mailbox! I wonder if my letter had anything do with it. A B+ that's awesome! Many great albums have gotten worse grades than that from them. This is huge pub, hopefully they'll do a story on them later.

Here's what EW had to say:

"This fresh-faced band comprising four Texas siblings and their bassist friend sounds more like seasoned pros than industry young'uns on their full-length debut. Noises charms with refreshing indie-flavored pop-rock fare like "Marvelous Things" and "Memories," which lace subtle guitar/keyboard riffs with sweet (but not syrupy) Lisa Loeb-esque vocals. There's always room for growth, but this solid first album proves we were right to declare Eisley one of the South by Southwest's 2003 standouts. B+" -Vickie An

Hmm...not sure if it helps that the only "band" comparison is Lisa Loeb.
