LAUGHING CITY COMMUNITY RULES - revised June 5, 2005 We ask everyone who posts on Laughing City to abide by these rules. Moderators will enforce these rules and have the right to remove, edit, smite, move, or close any topic thread without prior notice. Please abide by these rules and everyone's forum experience should be fun.
- 2 - Use the Search function before posting to avoid duplicate threads. There's a good possibility someone else started a thread on the topic already. Duplicate threads will be locked or deleted by moderators. Also, check the Eisley 101 section for common questions. - 3 - Keep it clean and do not post illegal or offensive content. Moderators will edit/remove such content without prior notice.
* Nudity, pornography, sexual topics, and sexual innuendo are inappropriate. * Gore, excessive violence, and racist material are inappropriate. * Illegal filesharing links and requests are not permitted. - 4 - Post in the appropriate forum:
* General: Everything Else. Talk about your cat, your dog, Strong Bad, your mom, etc. * Music: Music other than Eisley. Post reviews, comments, etc. * Shameless: Brag about your website, your band, your mom, your whatever. NOTE restrictions: NO chain letters, referral schemes, get rich quick schemes, or sales pitches. - 5 - Do not attack other Laughing City community users. Everyone has their own opinions on a variety of topics - especially so concerning music - and it's OK to disagree. If you disagree with someone, disagree politely and do not make personal attacks. Name-calling, insults, and other such attacks online are called "flaming" and will not be tolerated. "A little respect goes a long way." - 6 - Sensitive topics such as politics and religion are permitted here, however, please be cautious about the words you use and their lack of tone in this medium.
* Do not try to purposefully offend others or stir up strife. * Remember Rule #5. - 7 - If moderators observe behaviours described in Rules 5 and 6, they will warn the user as well as the thread in question. If a thread receives 3 warnings, it will be closed. Warnings will be clearly explained when they occur. |

Private messaging, email, and instant messenger are more appropriate than posting lots of short posts back and forth with one person or a small group of people. * Use the preview button before posting to see how your BBcodes and other formatting will appear. *Signature images are limited to 500 pixels wide by 120 pixels tall, and a total file size of 25kb. *Avoid posting large (either in file size or dimension) images in the forum.
