hey guys, just a thought that i've been, well, thinking recently. Sorry if it's offensive, that's not really my style, but cus there were prayer requests and someone asked about Christian music i'm just thoughtful; Is Eisley a Christian band, but not playing "Christian" music. i dunno, just a thought. it would be cool if you are, but if not, no harm done Very Happy (it just means i can properly talk about you guys in my youth group (if you are, that is)... hmmmmm

Ewan.

I'm sure everyone else is about to reply to this also, but...

Each member of the band IS Christian.

Their music and lyrics DO NOT refer to their religious beliefs.

It is still o.k. to pray for people no matter what their beliefs. To some people it may simply show that another person cares. I don't think anyone is offended by prayers no matter what their beliefs. None of this should keep you from talking about them to your Youth Group. As gRegor pointed out, simply because the lyrics are secular doesn't mean God wasn't involved. Also, let's not get God mixed up with religion. People get killed over stuff like that (ref. crusades).

The first person they thanked on Room Noises was God.

I think you should introduce your youth group to Eisley. Don't let labels get in the way. They are good people who seem well grounded, polite, and very capable of rocking faces off...just like good ol JC

At youth group yesterday we played Room Noises when everyone was hanging out and playing basketball. But they are basically the same situation as Lifehouse. They are Christians that happen to be in a band, not a band that is Christian.

"As gRegor pointed out, simply because the lyrics are secular doesn't mean God wasn't involved. " I can't agree with this statement more. When Room Noises comes through i think i may just play it.. it'ld sound sweeet on the stereo system we have. Kieren, the big leader (as in, the one who actually is the youth leader for the church ful-time), generallylhates silence so there is always music on! Very Happy

yoetheterrible, "Don't let labels get in the way"....darn, labels are annoying!
