I've been painting the inside of my house, and with Eisley playing on the stereo, it makes the work so much more bearable (I hate painting, mainly because of the pre-painting work - tape all edges, make sure there's no specks of dust, etc.). As I listened to the CD, I kept thinking about what I would say if someone asked me what my favorite song from the CD would be, and the best I can come up with is probably whatever song was currently playing. GRRR, they're all so good. Nothing like a lot of albums where there will be only 2-3 really good songs then the rest "filler material". I have an appreciation for each individual song. Some things I'll mention though are I love the ever-so-subtle bass and percussion on Lost at Sea. And, for Golly Sandra, the prominent steel guitar type sound (slide bar on a regular guitar fed through effects maybe?) and the strings and other "extra" instruments on most all other tracks just makes them so individualized that the songs don't "sound all the same" like you get with many other bands. Ok, just rambling. I haven't posted in a while so also letting everyone know I'm still around, but have been very busy remodeling the house so not much time for internet and posting. _________________ This space intentionally left blank. |
