so...i was reading 'The Magician's Nephew', by C. S. Lewis, and it has been said that the Eisley kids like the 'Chronicles of Narnia'. so i was reading it, and i came across something marvelous. when Aslan is creating Narnia, there is something familiar. observe:

so in the song 'Marvelous Things'
Quote:
...i awoke the dawn, saw horses growing out the lawn...

and in the book...
Quote:
Can you imagine a stretch of grassy land bubbling like water in a pot? For that is really the best description of what was happening. In all directions it was swelling into humps. They were of very different sizes, some no bigger than mole-hills, some as big as wheel-barrows, two the size of cottages. And the humps moved and swelled till they burst, and the crumbled earth poured out of them, and from each hump there came out an animal. The moles came out just as you might see a mole come out in England. The dogs came out, barking the moment their heads were free, and struggling as you've seen them do when they are getting through a narrow hole in a hedge. The stags were the queerest to watch, for of course the antlers came up a long time before the rest of tem, so at first Digory thought they were trees.

so.....i strongly believe that line, if not song was inspired by The Chronicles Of Narnia.
thats just my opinion.

and another thing.....less precise...
i wonder if the 'wood between the worlds' is perhaps the trolleywood.
because they find it.
then at the end of the story, they bury the rings, thus unfinding the wood.

another of my opinions.

thank you for listening.
love, TSP.

What's that say! I can't read! But I can type. How ironic.

I had thought this before too! It's probably because I am a Narnian though.

i always thought trolleywood was about finding narnia.

"we found a wood, we unfound a wood"...they found narnia, they couldnt find it again.

"gone for the day to the trolley wood"...they can go their, and stay their all within a day, a second actually.

"Walking with you hallelujah!"...Walking with Aslan...?

SPOILERS

"Do trolley's still drive?"... almost everytime they went back to narnia things had changed...drastically

"It's not very likely that we'll see it again"...Aslan told them in later books they'd never go back to Narnia

That is pretty interesting, but as for Trolley Wood [I'm most likely wrong] I always thought it was inspired by this: http://pg.photos.yahoo.com/ph/slitgizzard/detail?.dir=ba45&.dnm=cd3e.j pg&.src=ph

Or perhaps the photograph was inspired by the song?
