anybody else think this way? i mean, they hit up 500-1000 capacity venues on the winter west tour, but on the next tour, all the east coast venues are like 150 people...
then you have the fact that Boyd is talking about how much better the tour is getting right now, not because "friends are calling friends" it's because they're moving farther west!
i was at 5 east coast shows, and i can attest that the crowds...sucked...they were meh at best and some of them were just stupid.

Stupid east coast...what's wrong with you!?

Maybe because the west coast has had a little more exposure. It will be interesting to see the east coast reaction for this headline tour. Hopefully, on the heals of this tour, a lot of fans will come out.

yeah, i totally agree, i don't think they've toured enough here for people to get exposed and enjoy it. i say let's see how things go on the headlining tour - i know so many people on the east coast who would love to see them, but didn't want to see the bands they were opening for (or rather, pay ticket prices around $20 to see them play for maybe a half hour). touring really helps get a band out there, and the fact is that eisley has toured the west coast more than they have the east coast. if it were completely equal in amount of shows in each place, and the east coast still had less fans, then i would begin to wonder...

West coast is cooler because I live here.

I'm not sure why. I think it's true for all bands. The west coast is like a huge mecca for bands to explode. Maybe because we're more liberal over here, younger, larger population....music/tv industry is based over here....

Yeah, I dunno. I'm just making stuff up...but maybe.

I say exposure. How many shows has Eisley headlined in the east? Compare that to the West, and it looks clear.

Hey, we east-coasters get a bad rap. There are some cool among us! Some big Eisley fans at that...I was at the Hartford,CT show...and even I must admit, the crowd sucks. But up here, lables are everything, those kids went to an "NFG" show, and they all think they're "totally awesome" and think they are "punk-rockers" which is fine, to each his own, but unfortunately this attitude eliminates open-mindedness. Pair this with immaturity, and not too much exposure, and you've got yourself parts of the East coast. Kind of ironic, in a state which the favorite band among high school/college aged kids is probably Dave Matthews Band, the "punk rawk" scene is very discriminating.
but EISLEY should not give up!!!!!! Come back to the East Coast!!

I don't think that it's a matter of people "not getting" Eisley on the east coast. I think it's a matter of people not having any idea who they are. I live in New York and I make it a point to tell everyone I know about Eisley. In just about every single case the people have never heard of them before, but are very taken with it when I play it for them. I think there might be a problem with promotion on the east coast as opposed to a problem with the people here.

I don't know if I would say that the NFG show here in New York went poorly for Eisley. I personally did not hear anyone making negative comments.

NY, MA, CT, and PA should all be good markets for Eisley. Perhaps the band needs more exposure over here.

Well all this talk about us East Coasters being awful has prompted me to scream my damn head off after every single song when they come back around again in June. I don't want NY to get a bad rep with Eisley. Sad
