I was under the impression that the band was frustrated with the way things were going. But despite all the tech problems, I thought they sounded good. I didn't hear anyone in the audience say anything to the contrary. The only negative thing I heard was when Sherri mentioned they were touring with New Found Glory and the hipsters in the crowd expressed their disapproval with a collective "boo!!" for said band. But, I think the audience was smart enough to know that the tech issues weren't Eisley's fault. (And what was with the crooked background video of the 2 guys speaking with each other?) It seems a lot of artists who played that stage had some sort of tech issue at one point. Spoon took forever to get started beucase of apparent tech issues. Someone at Jem's show forgot to set up her bongo drums.

All the artists/bands that played at Coachella are quite different, although the general theme seemed to revolve around post punk (and of course the slew of DJ-related acts). Next to The Faint and Bauhaus, Eisley were probably my fav show. Eisley are distinguishable not only for their looks, but they seem to be the only band that has a sound that revolves around complex vocal harmonies. Sometimes I wonder if Eisley realizes that people find that refreshing. And I was happy to see the band dip into some of their older songs.

Oh, and another thing I noticed was that all the Eisley CDs in the Virgin store, both on display and in the racks on the back wall, were gone on Sunday. And I doubt it's because no one was buying them.

That's so true. That's what's great about Eisley. A lot of bands no matter what music genre they play don't heavily focus on vocals. Eisley do it extremely well.

They've pulled things off before. They're amazing when it comes to little glitches they always come through by the grace of God

Yeah, I don't think it was bad enough to where folks who were passing by thought "wow they suck." They may not have seen the band in top form. But I didn't overhear any negativity towards the band. In fact, my brother's friend, Clinton (who does not like Eisley) had a friend who also saw the show and said they were good (and fine), and he never heard the band before.
