Hope y'all enjoy your brief time in the UK! It's pretty hot over here, but not quite as bad as Texas's heat. Just remember to look right before crossing the road and it'll all be good 
oh yeah, try some Irn Bru while you're here - just make sure it's cold when you drink it, and you may not want to drink an entire can yourself. It's a Scottish soda, and it's sold down in Englad as well. It's interesting and worth having, but like most food/drink it shouldn't be consumed in large quantities
