I was looking through my parents room today, and I found original copies of Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band, Abbey Road, The White Album, and Magical Mystery Tour. I got giddy and wanted to take them.

Exactly.....except it wasn't the first one I had....My dad would always play it loud......and it reminds me of when I was little, which amazingly seems 20 times better than now... Confused .....

*I'm also partial to "Rocky Raccoon" because dad used to play that song on the acoustic guitar and my sibilings and I would dance really fast/sporadic on the "doo doo" part.... Laughing

I picked Abbey Road as being my favorite from the list. But, my favorite is not on the list, it is Please Please Me. I love this album. Also ironically as I started writing this Please Please Me started playing on iTunes.

Holy crap! New Beatles recordings? YES!

And, this thread preceded my membership to this forum, so since I'm just reading it, I'll state that my favorite Beatles album is Revolver, just edging out Sgt. Pepper's. Revolver is just so intricate, so beautiful. A major turning point in their career.

Y'know, when a thread's two years old and has a very tenuous connection to what you're posting, I'd say it's safe to start a new thread. Wink

i like it.
years - who pays attention to years?
it may bring oldies back into the fold.
(hmm, the eisley board, what in the blazes is that?.....oh yes, i remember that place. i think i shall visit it again).
there really aren't any pure Beatles threads available via search, though i know over the years there have been.
call me sentimental if ye like...

Abbey Road has a special place in my heart. it's the one album my dad and I can listen to the whole thing over and over again, and know all the words to. it's a good bonding experience, I guess. and I even go as far to say that it's my favorite album of all time -- of all artists. but anyway, I love how the songs blend together and you cannot listen to it on random.

This poll is incomplete.

You didn’t put all of the Beatles’ albums.
Like Help! or A Hard Day’s Night. Two of my favorites.
