I keep expanding the base brand of colors (started years and years ago) but... you're right – eisley is green; What can we say? It's just... the girl members are like forest princess's; they scamper about in these flowy, tattered, dresses. I can see it clearly in my imagination – Like pretty, earthen, woodswomen, they flit about...writing songs, playing their strange instruments, catching bugs and picking the fronds from the ferns that line the path to their secret Trolley. Weston and Garron are the Paul Bunyon's of the forest who protect them. TrolleyWood is out there... somewhere; in the woods; in the dark forest. I think that's where they steal away from civilization and spin their peculiar magic. ... Quote: Deep within the collective hearts and minds of Eisley, there seems
an impenetrable, enigmatic place where long, lurid shadows stretch out far beyond dark forests that draw from life's essential streams. And in that hidden hovel, emotive melodies and verse emerge there to satisfy creatures pining for music that inspires imagination without borders. Eisley's 2005 full-length debut, 'Room Noises,' originates from such a place." I like that. Make sense. And that would be a really awesome video. _________________ Eisley Pix |

The truth is boyd only sees shades of green, so their graphic design has always been a bit restricted. _________________ "The revolution starts today, not tomorrow." :: got g-Love? |

Inamorato wrote: If green is the color of nature, such as the expression "God's green Earth", then many Eisley songs are a lovely chartreuse. The music is imbued with literal and implied references to the natural world. For me, listening to Eisley conjures images of verdant woodlands populated by hooting owls and the occasional creature that isn't described in any field guide. So true! _________________ Don't you let them tell you you're an ugly child. They are blind to the beauty that lies within |

Few other forums would invest so much time and effort into discussing colors. I love you guys. _________________ --Lin-- If I had something clever to say... Audioscrobbler lies the overcast |

I work in the forests of upstate NY during the summers and last summer while I was running around under the canopy I would listen to Eisley... it just seemed to fit... especially with the green sunlight shining through the leaves. _________________ http://www.myspace.com/thetornpaige www.modernvictorian.etsy.com www.myspace.com/modern_victorian |

This brings up a question i've been trying to get an answer for. Where did Eisley come up with the name? Is it derived from the celtic name 'aisling' which means 'dream' or 'vision'? and if so, that would explain why it makes you think of green and why it is so suited to the music. any input on this, anyone? Peace, and God Bless, Your Newest and Biggest Fan, Aaron Welcome to the forum! The FAQ section (see the links above) has all the information on where Eisley got their name (it's from Star Wars). However, that Celtic name is a pretty awesome coincidence! _________________ INTELLECT AND ROMANCE OVER BRUTE FORCE AND CYNICISM Smokemonster |

This just occurred to me, don't know if it influenced my color descision or not, but last year I repainted our kitchen, and just put the Room Noises CD on repeat the whole time I was painting, and the color of choice was GREEN! _________________ This space intentionally left blank. |
