Exactly where in Deep Ellum is it? I know how to get to Trees, Gypsy Tea Room and The Door. I'm there! Rain or shine.

do you know anything about the wristbands? from what i can tell, they're required to get to the area where eisley is playing. and they're free right now, but you have to pick them up at a few dallas locations. and if you don't get them in advance, it's $10 at the fest. so i'm wondering, since i live in austin, is there any way to get the wristband in advance without actually driving all the way to dallas?

I don't know anything about the wristbands. Sorry. Does the NMF site give any hints on this, or does anyone else know?

I looked at the site yesterday and they're like $10. I'm under the impression that it's for the festival in general though, so you can see the billions of other bands playing. They're giving away free wristbands at some of the clubs in Dallas this weekend though, but I don't know what dates or which clubs they're being given out at (that info is available on the site though).

So basically Eisley's show is free, but entry to the festival isn't.

i emailed them about it a day or two ago, but haven't heard anything. thing is, i won't really be able to go to the festival. i'm just gonna drive up for eisley with my little bro, and then drive back down after. not that i would mind paying $10 to see eisley Smile

I just got an email back from someone connected with the New Music Festival. I asked about the all ages thing, and they said the outdoor stage is NOT ALL AGES. The stage will be fenced in and it will be 17+ because alchol will be served. I was bummed to hear this because I was planning on taking my 12 yr old niece and her friend.
I did write this person back to see if it's possible to see the stage from outside the fence. I'm waiting for a reply...

Just wanted to keep you all updated...

oh yeah, the wristband thing-

They were available last weekend at various clubs for free, but now they will be $10. They do get you into all venues all weekend (as long as there is room in the club, of course), so it's still a pretty good deal. It's one of those wristbands that you'll have to wear all weekend if you are going to attend shows all weekend. Appparently, it holds up in the shower and whatnot. Guess it's heavy duty...
