In yet another step of streamlining the Eisley webship and making the Eisley experience better for end users -- bah, forget the marketing mumbo jumbo. I'm sure boyd's already been pumping it up enough. We have a new journals page on the site. Yeah, like, separate from the forums. Oh, did we mention band member journals? ok, so we're pretty excited about this. and you're probably like "and?" We're in the process of rolling these new pages out, so bear with us if there are small glitches and whatnot. We already know of a few, listed below. If you come across any others, please post them in this thread and we will get them taken care of as quickly as possible. Currently only the Switchfoot tour journals are active, but we're in the process of moving over the older ones and before you know it, they'll all be there. Enjoy. www.eisley.com/journals Known Glitches [Fixed] When browsing comments it goes to the top of the page instead of top of the comments 2) Resizing wide images so they don't stretch the (narrower) journal pages 3) Missing profile links in comments 4) Avatars... they're shrunk just a tad on purpose, since there isn't much space for comment text. May remove avatars from comments altogether, or setup a nifty mouse hover thing that shows avatar/stats. Coming [Done] The rest of the tour journals [Done] New site header/footer [Done] RSS/Atom feeds _________________ "The revolution starts today, not tomorrow." :: got g-Love? |

I dunno if I would want thousands of people reading my journal posts. That's kind of creepy... _________________ Wavering between the profit and the loss In this brief transit where the dreams cross The dreamcrossed twilight between birth and dying (Bless me father) though I do not wish to wish these things From the wide window towards the granite shore The white sails still fly seaward, seaward flying Unbroken wings |

Creepy is when people got upset at them for not commenting back on their xangas, or emailing them back. I doubt they'll be bearing any of their innermost secrets on here or anything, but it's an outlet they still wanted, minus the creepy factor. That's why comments are disabled. _________________ "The revolution starts today, not tomorrow." :: got g-Love? |

That's kind of creepy... if that's creepy then isn't the internet entirely creepy? or maybe it is.. really.. maybe technology is evil. (strange organ music can be heard as if from nowhere.. a clap of thunder.. a flash of lightning) anyway, good work techie people.. i like the journals, they are fancy. i can't wait to see the band start putting them to good use. (upon re-reading i think that last sentence may have been really terrible grammar) _________________ "dial" in Welsh means "revenge". If a welsh speaker enters an English phone booth, having paid the coin/phone card the next command the l.e.d screen throws at the customer is "revenge!" thus setting the tone for a confrontational conversation. great work on the journals gregor! ![]() one more bug... the emoticons are a little messed up... when trying to post one, the link is wrong... i posted the links in boyd's journal: when posted, they're linked to this: http://www.eisley.com/laughingcity/http://www.eisley.com/laughingcity/ images/smiles/icon_biggrin.gif but when on the left, they're linked to this: http://www.eisley.com/laughingcity/images/smiles/icon_smile.gif |

They appear to be working for me, can you show me where they aren't working? I ran into that problem before launching it and fixed it, I thought. _________________ "The revolution starts today, not tomorrow." :: got g-Love? |
