i dont celebrate christmas because it is against my beliefs...and i wish people would stop it with all these christmas threads. that's what i voted for. but when i was little my brother and i would get a chaunukah branch. a dead tree branch we found in the yard. now we dont bother. |

I only have a small, fiber optic lighting up one. I wish I had the real one, like my family used to. i like real trees best. because they make your house smell like pine and i love that smell. in my family we get a real one and a fake one. i think another reason i love real pine is because i don't have to put it together every year. i hate that part. _________________ janet's the name. |

I go with artificial trees. Their cost-effective (one tree every year versus one tree every five years), low maintenence (no watering, low cleanup, no dead tree to haul to the street in January), consistant (it's the same tree every year, so no scouring tree lots for good trees and ending up with a dying one) and I can bend the branches to put on lights without having to worry about the branches breaking. Do I get the pine smell? No. Do I think that's much of a loss? Not really. I've had artificial trees for christmas longer than some of the users here have been born. It's almost tradition. |

I celibrate festivus. not really I celbrate christmas, but I dont like trees, because of what my family tells me are anal reasons, but if you are going to have one, it needs to be real. _________________
