hey.

uuhh...i'm not to good at this forum stuff, haha. i guess this message would be to boyd or anyone who knows anything about it. boyd, not to long ago, posted an old demo version of "lost at sea" with just keyboards & sherri's voice. he said that he was quite partial to that version and so am i. i thought it was amazing, and i would love to be able to get ahold of it somehow. is it possible that it could be available for download somehow?

eisley is amazing. i can't wait to hear what the new record brings...

thank you for your time.

Rick.

Welcome to the forum.

www.orangegoldandgreen.com holds your answer. Lots of (legal!) MP3s there. It might be down at the moment, but it will be up very soon if it is. They're switching servers, if I remember correctly.

Hope that helps. Smile

I always loved the OGG video of Lost at Sea in the studio, where this baby named Eisley was crawling around (I think the producer named their baby Eisley if I remember right). It was a beautiful version of a beautiful song.

The original Sherri-and-Wurli version was on a tour video, and I'm pretty sure OGG had it. I'm not sure if anybody made an MP3 from that or not, but there are people around that do that.

I have an mp3 of it, that I believe was once on OGG and was ripped from the video Boone refers to but its not great quality. It has alot of clicks and static noise that are not in the video version. When I get the time, I will be doing my own mp3 rip of the video because it indeed is the best version of lost at sea around. So yeah, go to OGG and download the video.

OGG will be back up shortly; the original Boyd video of "Lost at Sea" as well as the Cole Studios vid will be there, too. I'm not entirely sure how long this uploading will take (there's over a gig and a half of stuff to transfer to the new server), so if you can't wait send me a PM and I'll arrange to e-mail or filetransfer an MP3. Smile

A gig and a half? I can almost fit that on 1 SD memory card for my digital camera. I would have thought it was way more than that. But you would know, Saellys.

Most webpages are 5 or 6 kb, most internet friendly pictures are 50 kb or so, and your average MP3 is around 6 Mb. Even the videos would average around 12 Mb. You can keep web pages pretty small, and it's a smart thing to do so.

Barely compressed, 6 megapixel images are significantly bigger than one randomly-selected piece of media on a given web page. Even so, transferring gigabytes of information over the internet just plain takes time.
