I have some chucks. I've worn them twice. I well prefer the ones I got in South Africa at a home store type thing (BHS or something). Exactly the same style, not as comfortable. But when you have scriblings on the toe pad and the side from many of your mates you get attached to them. As for the Nike thing, there's a Canadian company which makes all their shoes completely in Canada, in the same style as converse. They have a red dot on them, somewhere. I think that's really the only difference, since they aint logoed. Chucks look pretty cool, but they're crap. If you're ok with wearing crap shoes, go for it. I <3 child labor. My shoes are sooooo cheap. p.s. I don't like Converse nearly as much as I like PF Flyers. p.p.s. You'd have a hard time finding an industry not involved in shady dealing with other humans. If you did, you'd spend an amount of money on those items and services that most people couldn't afford. |
