Don't know if anyone has posted anything about this yet but.. When I went up to Barnes & Noble yesterday I bought the February/March issue, and I discovered Eisley was in it. Room Noises ranked number 9 (right below takk...) out of 50. I have to admit I was surprised to see them there considering the other albums that were included. I'm very very excited to see them growing and getting out there, but at the same time it's kind of bittersweet to watch them become bigger and gain more and more popularity (I know that must sound selfish and horrible ). The next album will do more than "live up to the high standard" that Room Noises set. I think anticipation is lurking amongst everyone here. _________________ don't ask me ask the ministry |

I can see where they are coming from though, Room Noises was very good. Now they have to one up themselves, and again after that, and again after that. I don't know how musicians do it. I bet they look back a few years later and listen to their debut stuff and think it's crap. _________________ |

That is a mighty fine album. _________________ - Jessica ------------------------------------------------------- "So many bands are like painters standing in front of their paintings going, 'Look at me, I did this.' I'd say buy it. You get cool cover art and stuff like that. And you support someone who actually deserves it. Of course, if you just can't afford it ... then you can seek other avenues. And that's so cool that Eisley was in the top 10. _________________ My photography:www.jamiemphoto.com You can't spell awesome without emo...backwards! -Julie definingawesome (11:44:11 PM): Eisley shivers our timbers |

McKenzies wrote: So would everyone reccomend that I buy the entire album Illinois then? Yes, definitely. I cheated and downloaded it. But I do plan on eventually owning an actual copy. Because I love cds. They come with nice booklets! But I am lacking money right now. _________________ - Jessica ------------------------------------------------------- "So many bands are like painters standing in front of their paintings going, 'Look at me, I did this.' McKenzies wrote: So would everyone reccomend that I buy the entire album Illinois then? Wow, how much does it take to convince you to buy an album THAT good? I mean, the thing is the best reviewed album of 2005. The 12th best reviewed of the past 5 years. I've talked to very few people who honestly hate the album. Most of the people that claim to hate it are people who think they're ahead of the indie-backlash curve and want to be as loud as they can about it. Suf's arguably the best American singer/songwriter/composer we have today. Just get the damn album. _________________ |
