I know many people have done it with .mov files or .m4a files in iTunes (using the Convert to MP3 feature), but the only method I can come up with for ripping audio from YouTube is to hook up one end of a male-male 1/8" audio cord to the speaker out on your computer, and the other end to the microphone in, and then recording in something like Audacity. It's an involved process, and I'm sure there's an easier way, but I wouldn't know. _________________ INTELLECT AND ROMANCE OVER BRUTE FORCE AND CYNICISM Smokemonster |

Audio Hijack will record anything that you are hearing from your computer and make it into an audio file. http://www.rogueamoeba.com/audiohijack/ Compatibility=Mac OSX I use it ALL the time. _________________ "If those are my last words, I can do better." |

Your sound card can record a number of different sources besides the microphone input. Double click your volume control (little speaker in lower right) Go to options >properties >bullet "recording" >check all the boxes and press OK The options will have different titles depending on your system but look for something like WavOut or Stereo Mix and select it to record. Now you can use any audio software, even windows sound recorder, to record the computer's speaker output. Make sure your levels aren't too high or you'll get distortion. It's helpful to have a wav editor so you can trim/filter/modify your file and save it in the format of your choice (MP3). If your not into paying for something like Audition (Cooledit) you can download Goldwave for free: www.goldwave.com Peace |

Then, it will record whatever is playing through your speakers anyway. _________________ EisleyForever wrote: you're A-list in my heart! MAKECOLDPLAYHISTORY |
