Both playing live in my city. Snow Patrol the night after Muse. I was gunna get my Snow Patrol ticket when I get money (tomorrow), but then I noticed Muse was playing. There are some other shows I wanna go to. please, help decide for me.

Here's the lowdown on each gig I wanna go to.

Jim Noir.
tuesday
£10

The Heights
Friday 9th
£6

Muse
24th August
£27.50

Snow Patrol
25th August
£27.50

So here are the options. I really can't afford to go to all of the three those gigs that I wanted to go to in June (The Research was the third, this Wednesday. I dropped it, with a heavy heart, on the grounds that I'd already seen them live*, and I was looking for a show on the 9th, given that all my year would be away).
*just remembered that The Research are playing an instore [i]in my city[/ion the 8th! hurrah! so all is not lost

Jim Noir; The Heights; Muse ticket
Jim Noir; The Heights; Snow Patrol ticket.

There are also some awesome albums coming out in june:
Midlake - The Trials of Van Occupanther (the 5th)
The Russian FUturists - Me, Myself, and Rye (the 5th)
The Upper Room - Other People's Problems (29th of THIS month. So, tomorrow!).

But I'm gunna have to get them in July. Nothing is on in July. And I'll be away quite a bit, so...yeh know. I couldn't really go to any live shows anyway!

select and say why... *

*I really do find these a struggle. I didn't put the poll in once (the Futureheads/Jim Noir one) specifically so people would say why. which annoys me. your vote doesn't count unless you say why. It's really a question over Snow Patrol and Muse...

muse was one of the best live shows ever, and snow patrol bored me way back when they toured with eisley, ssssoooooo...

...even though paul said muse, and you can't trust an aussie, he happens to be right this time.

yeah. My whole thought this month for the Snow Patrol ticket was along the lines of "well, if I get a ticket, I get one. And if it's sold out, my mates can show me that little area you can go that won't be blocked off which would mean i'd see it for free anyway". I'll think I'll take that mindset again this month and bag myself the Muse ticket. which, I assume, will go so much faster than Snow Patrol will (even though they are going fast, apparantly).

And my bro's seen them live, like 3 times. And he loves them> And I like them. so there MUST be something about them!

I mean, I like Snow Patrol's new album and all. But it's quite dull. Kinda like Gemma Hayes (who is THE DULLEST live singer ever: says me, loads of Athelete fans, another older mate of mine, and my best mate. and someone who works for the venue she played when I did flyering and mailing lists for her)! but I've never seen Snow Patrol. *thinks mindset he's had for past month*

And I friggin' knew paul was gunna say muse!

I'm still interested in peeps' response

Well. If you want to see Snow Patrol live. See Snow Patrol

And if you want to see Muse, then see Muse. In the end, it's really about who YOU want to see.

I would tell you Snow Patrol, because I like Snow Patrol more than I like Muse.

Those are both incredible bands. But I'd have to say Muse because they're amazing live.

But I might go see Snow Patrol when they come in July.

Muse.

If you wanted to see Irishmen, Damien Rice or U2 is all you really need.

That's very true. But what's also true is that I only have enough money for ticket for only one of the shows.

I've decided that I'll get meself a Muse ticket, and, if it so happens that there are still tickets left by the end of the month (there's a small chance there will be), I'll get one then. if not there's always the section of the venue which they never block off so you can see them for free with a relatively good view.

Plus more of my mates are into Muse, so they'll be going. As opposed to Snow Patrol... only my youth leader. Hanging out with him would be cool, but I couldn't really go mental, eh? Laughing
Muse it is.

well, the best decision you could make besides deciding to go to the concert you bought a ticket for. ^_^
