Midlake The Trials of Van Occupanther (Bella Union, 2006)

The second CD from Denton's Midlake (due out Tuesday) is a low-key charmer, full of feathery vocals and lovely, unpredictable music: "Young Bride," the disc's best song, collides indie-punk with eerie Eastern fiddles. Thom Yorke has sung the quintet's praises, which isn't a shock, since Mid- lake singer Tim Smith boasts an ethereal voice that will surely please Radiohead fans (as well as followers of Eisley). - Thor Christensen

I didn't even know that. And do you have any idea how rare it is for me not to know when Thom Yorke says something? Shocked

Jason Lee loves them too.

True, true. I like the idea of being an "Eisley Follower".
