Sea Post King

So this picture made me make a funny connection.

Okay, remember how the "Marvelous Things" video was supposed to be INSPIRED by the Virgin Suicides (at least for the director) I believe?

Well, that is one of my favorite movies (I haven't read the book yet. I'm sure some of you can give me a good heads up!) and I just giggled at the fact that Weston has a Half Century of Aircraft poster behind him.

If it belongs to Sir Boyd, I am going to be amused very much. Mr. Lisbon is an aviation fanatic, yes? (Not sure if that's just a movie detail or in the book aswell, but it made me laugh)

Do you like to wrestle?

///EDIT!///
More kuh-neck-shuns!

I was about to read HCA's the Marsh King, for fun, and it made a reference to Vikings and there was a foot note (Viking was marked with a 1) at the bottom that said 1. Sea Kings, or pirates of the north..

So here are more connections.

Marsh Kings, Sea Kings, pirates, and aviation.

I'm guessing you haven't read/seen the Virgin Suicides?

And I guess I worded the part about Anderson's "The Marsh King" a little awkardly. There was a footnote in that short story, (the story being a name of a possible new eisley song or "sequence") that reffered to 'sea kings' and pirates. Eisley loves pirates. Eisley has a song called "Sea King"

Clarified?

That pic of Weston with the glasses reminds me so much of some rock musician from the 1970s or 1980s. But who though? Some new wave band or something maybe? I'll have to figure it out.

The Buggles. The band that did Video Killed the Radio Star. The singer had big white glasses like that

totally thought you were talking about the wiggles for about two seconds. i was wondering how anyone could think that weston looked like a member of an australian children's band when i realized that i got the names mixed up.

oops, haha.
